Lines Tight in Long Beach: J&R Products Angler Rewards Recaps August 1st Charter

On August 1, 2026, our J&R Products Angler Rewards members met at the Long Beach docks for a day of coastal charter fishing. Great weather, live bait, and steady action made for an incredible trip.

The Catch Breakdown

The local waters delivered a versatile mix of hard-fighting pelagics and bottom dwellers:

  • Yellowtail: The main event. These hard-pulling fish tested setups and delivered the biggest adrenaline rushes of the day.

  • Barracuda: Fast-paced action kept the deck busy with surface strikes and quick releases.

  • Calico Bass: Quality bass picked up live bait along the kelp edges and structure.

  • Sculpin: Tasty bottom-dwellers filled out the coolers for fresh dinner fillets.
